The paper focuses on the issue of foreign language teaching in primary and pre-primary education. research analysed national concept promoting education Slovakia since 1990s. methodology was based a content analysis curriculum documents their accompanying methodological materials. tool allowed us to define describe indicators diachronic aspect terms main objectives, forms, methods teaching. article presents results languages Slovak conditions.
